About the Artist
About the Artist Lisa Cermak uses her passions in life for inspiration. The illustrations and paintings displayed show her development as a skilled artist. Her specialty is oil and digital painting, but is accomplished in a variety of media. Lisa enjoys painting from both life and photographs. While studying at California State University in Fullerton, Lisa worked at Disneyland as a portrait and caricature artist. After she graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Illustration, she went on to work as a graphic designer and illustrator for various companies and clients. A few years later, she moved to Oregon where the lush surroundings inspired her to create digital landscape paintings and get back to China painting (a family skill that was passed down). Two years later, Lisa moved back to sunny southern California and has since been working towards her Master’s in Education and teaching credential while developing a range of landscapes, still life’s, and other assorted oil paintings. “When not writing papers for school and grading student work, I focus on my painting and plans for exhibiting my work. My love for developing my own art and teaching my craft to others consumes me and I love it!” |
