ACTIVITY #2 - Jesus Christ Superstar at Orange County Performing Arts Center

AWESOME NIGHT!! Wonderful performance. Our seats were right up front and in the middle (complementary tickets from a good friend who works with the production company for the national tour). Afterwards my hubby and I got to go backstage and meet Ted Neeley who portrayed Jesus that night and was the original Jesus in the 1973 film. He is a wonderful person! He took the time to look through an old album (soundtrack from the motion picture - original record) with us and share his experience when making the film. He signed both the album (for my hubby's mom) and a program. He also took a picture with us, but my hubby doesn't like me posting photos of us on the web - so sorry!

Irvine Improv - Joel McHale (host of "The Soup"), K.P. Anderson (Executive Producer of "The Soup"), Chris Hardwick.

Funny night! My hubby and I sat right next to the stage, so that was exciting... After the show, we got to shake Joel's hand and thank him for the performance. I had my camera and should've taken a picture, but I chickened out!!

I just added new photos from our recent trip to Hawaii. Our favorite part of the whole trip was going back to Waikoloa (our honeymoon spot two years ago). We love the Waikoloa Beach Marriott, despite the fact that half of it was under heavy construction during our stay. The Waikiki Beach Marriott was really nice as well, but we don't care much for Waikiki. It's too much like LA (only more humid and more palm trees).

So basically, here was our schedule... We stayed in Waikiki for 2 nights (on the island of Oahu) because we wanted to visit Pearl Harbor. That was an amazing day! We toured the USS Arizona Memorial, USS Missouri, and USS Bowfin.

After that, we jumped over to the Big Island to stay in Waikoloa for 3 nights. During that time, we went snorkeling with our favorite activities group (based out of our hotel) - Ocean Sports. The next day, we did the exact opposite - we took a tour up to the top of Mauna Kea for the sunset and stargazing. It was freezing, but a wonderful experience, nonetheless.

Finally, our journey took us to Hilo for 2 nights. This was my least favorite hotel, so I'm not even going to mention it. We took some time to visit friends who live in Pahoa. They live on some beautiful property out there. The next day we drove to the volcano. We hiked down to the bottom of the small crater. It was like walking on the moon - very surreal. On the way back to the hotel, we stopped at Akatsuka Orchid Gardens. We also made a stop at Big Island Candies to pick up some treats for our friends back home.

Overall, it was a great trip! We relaxed and had fun. I love Hawaii!!

I finally was able to put all of the pictures I took in Washington DC on the site! The slideshows include music. Some of the places I wanted to visit were closed or required reservations very far in advance (i.e. The White House), so I hope to see them next time I go. If you are interested in visiting, here are some links to where my journey took me:

This past weekend we went to Laguna Beach for 2 nights. There should be some photos by the end of today posted. We stayed at Vacation Village. We took a little drive down to the Montage. We had some great dining experiences at 230 Forest and Cabana.
